Reading Festival Green Team and Salvaging

WADRA are again this year collaborating with Reading Festival to connect people who would like to volunteer on site with the Green Messenger Team during the festival, and those who wish to help with salvaging from the festival site on Monday afternoon (typically a 4 hour shift) and Tuesday all-day (8 hour shift).

Please note:

• You must be 18 years or older prior to the date of the event that you wish to volunteer.
• You must be legally allowed to work in the UK.
• If you have any questions regarding the application process, please email Festival Republic.

There are 3 options to volunteer with Green Messenger and WADRA during and after the festival.

Option 1

Volunteer in the Green Messenger Team at the festival for 4 x 6-hour shifts between Wednesday and Sunday of the Festival (days and times to be provided the Monday of Festival week). You will receive a free staff weekend ticket.

All participants in Option 1 are required to provide a refundable security deposit. If you do not complete your shifts, you will lose your deposit.

• New Volunteers will be required to pay a deposit of £100
• Returning Volunteers will be required to pay a deposit of £50
• Deposits MUST be made 2 weeks BEFORE the festival

To sign-up for Option 1, complete the Green Messengers Sign-up form. In the form, under ‘how did you hear about us’, select ‘WADRA’, which will allow us to count you into the WADRA team. Also, please use the WADRA contact form to send us your name and contact details, and indicate that you have signed-up for option 1, so we can make doubly sure you are on our list.

Option 2

Volunteer in the Green Messenger Team at the festival for 2 x 6-hour shifts between Wednesday and Sunday of the Festival (days and times to be provided the Monday of festival week) AND complete 2 shifts with WADRA salvaging after the festival on Monday (3-7pm) and Tuesday (8am-5pm) reclaiming camping equipment, clothes and food, for charitable purposes. This will be a total of 24 hours of volunteering. You will receive a free staff weekend ticket.
